Speaking within the dugout of the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio, Kapler mentioned, "I do not plan on popping out for the anthem going forward till I really feel better concerning the course of our country."

In a blog put up, Kapler questioned whether or not the nation's management is dedicated to representing its people's greatest interests and whether the USA is really "the land of the free and the house of the courageous."

"We weren't given bravery, and we aren't free. The police on the scene put a mom in handcuffs as she begged them to go in and save her kids. They blocked mother and father attempting to organize to cost in to stop the shooter, together with a father who discovered his daughter was murdered whereas he argued with the cops. We aren't free when politicians decide that the lobbyist and gun industries are more important than our kids's freedom to go to school while not having bulletproof backpacks and active shooter drills," Kapler wrote.

Later, Kapler wrote about his disillusionment with what he called "the shortage of delivery of the promise of what our nationwide anthem represents."

"I'm not okay with the state of this country. I want I hadn't let my discomfort compromise my integrity. I want that I may have demonstrated what I realized from my dad, that if you're dissatisfied together with your nation, you let it's identified by way of protest. The home of the brave should encourage this."

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr made an impassioned plea to take stronger motion in opposition to gun violence in the US.

Kerr refused to speak about basketball forward of Recreation 4 of the Warriors' series in opposition to the Dallas Mavericks, as a substitute raising his voice as he railed towards gun violence within the wake of Tuesday's taking pictures.

"Within the last 10 days, we have had elderly Black people killed in a supermarket in Buffalo, we've had Asian churchgoers killed in Southern California, now we have now children murdered in school," Kerr instructed reporters at the start of the press conference.

"When are we going to do one thing? I'm drained. I'm so uninterested in getting up right here and offering condolences to the devastated families that are out there ... I'm tired of the moments of silence. Enough."
