The household of an 11-year-old lady who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader played useless after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother said the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed during the shooting.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law called me and he or she was just crying, like 'I feel it simply hit Miah. I believe every part got here to actuality now,'" said Blanca Rivera.

Rivera stated Miah's instructor, Irma Garcia, was one of many two academics killed. Her associates and classmates had been also targeted.

Rivera mentioned that's when Miah went into survival mode.

"Miah acquired some blood and put it on herself so she could faux she was dead," said Rivera. "It's too much for me to play that scene again and again, but that is what my sister-in-law said is that she saw her buddy stuffed with blood and he or she bought blood and put it on herself."

Miah was injured however taken to the hospital and has been launched.

"My brother said she had bullet fragments in her again," said Rivera.

Rivera, a mother of three, mentioned the household is rallying round Miah to help her recuperate physically, emotionally and spiritually.

"At this point, we simply have to hope and ask God to help us transfer forward by way of this situation, I do know it's traumatizing as it's," said Rivera.

Almost everyone in the town of Uvalde has been touched by the lack of someone in the mass taking pictures at Robb Elementary Faculty, residents are supporting one another as they start dealing with the tragedy.
