The household of an 11-year-old lady who survived the massacre at Robb Elementary College in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday says the 4th grader performed dead after the gunman entered her classroom.

Miah Cerrillo's aunt and godmother stated the 4th grader is struggling to cope and telling them what she witnessed during the shooting.

"Round midnight my sister-in-law known as me and he or she was just crying, like 'I think it simply hit Miah. I feel all the things got here to reality now,'" stated Blanca Rivera.

Rivera said Miah's trainer, Irma Garcia, was one of many two academics killed. Her friends and classmates had been additionally targeted.

Rivera mentioned that's when Miah went into survival mode.
