Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to attempt to sell damaged car with lacking tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol restrict after at least 5 folks known as 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Major Road exit. They are saying the crash brought on a flat tire and the automotive to smoke, however the driver saved going.

Different callers say the motive force was all around the road and now missing a front tire.

They say he eventually stopped at a automobile dealership and appeared “super drunk.”

Staff instructed police the driving force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was trying to sell his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had just been in a crash.

They say Mattingly smelled of alcohol and nearly fell several times. Officers say he tested .291 on a conveyable breath take a look at.

Police say inside his SUV, they found 4 Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is dealing with several charges.

He is the son of the supervisor for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
