TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in jail for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met on-line, in line with officials.

The U.S. Department of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two completely different occasions in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Courtroom data say he flew back and forth disguising himself as an English teacher.

A number of the boys, according to the DOJ, have been lured with promises of money and presents. Others launched him as their English trainer.

The Tampa Bay News says Homeland Safety investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh Metropolis. It was a part of Venture Protected Childhood, which was an effort to find baby intercourse abuse began in 2006 by the DOJ.

“The legal guidelines of america will still catch up to baby predators who even journey to foreign countries to sexually abuse minor kids. Day pleaded guilty to 2 counts of travel with intent to have interaction in illicit sexual conduct and two counts of attempted coercion and enticement of a minor into illegal sexual activity, according to the DOJ. Day has been sentenced to life in prison.
