Mike Tyson won’t face fees in altercation with JetBlue passenger, district legal professional says

A California district attorney declined to file fees Tuesday in opposition to former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson after he was recorded on video in a physical altercation with another passenger on a JetBlue flight.

San Mateo County District Lawyer Steve Wagstaffe made the decision after having reviewed police reviews and videos of the April 20 incident. Each the passenger, who has not been recognized, and Tyson requested that no prices be filed.

Cellphone video confirmed Tyson, 55, showing to attempt to punch somebody who was pushing him away. Representatives for Tyson stated the individual was harassing Tyson. The video did not show what occurred before the altercation.

David Chesnoff, Richard Schonfeld and Martin Sabelli, attorneys for Tyson, responded to the decision to not file expenses by thanking Wagstaffe, the San Mateo County sheriff and law enforcement businesses "for their cautious, diligent, and professional work."
