A week later, on July 11, Barini had an encounter with one other man at a motel in Woodside, Queens, where she gave him fentanyl-laced medication. The man also died of a drug overdose, a complaint states.

The subsequent month, on Aug. 5, Barini met her third victim in Faculty Point, Queens, and again gave him fentanyl-laced medicine that led to a deadly overdose, prosecutors mentioned.

Later that month, on Aug. 18, Barini met her last known sufferer, Andrea Zamperoni — a chef for the high-end restaurant chain Cipriani — inside an Elmhurst, Queens, motel room, where she drugged him with gamma-butyrolactone, generally often called a “date rape” drug. The man died shortly afterward.

That day, courtroom information state, Barini repeatedly tried to get rid of the sufferer’s body. Fernando Dallorso, the general supervisor of Cipriani in New York, told the New York Occasions that Zamperoni was a “dedicated onerous worker” who cooked six days per week and “by no means missed a day of labor.”

The kitchen staff mourned the loss, Dallorso instructed the Occasions.

“Everybody in the kitchen right now's heartbroken, from the dishwasher to the chef,” Dallorso mentioned.
