Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey News) - Several agencies responded to a middle faculty in Texas Friday morning after a young person’s mom seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mother was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area along with a number of other businesses in an try to find him.
The teenager was found near the school’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old could possibly be going through a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no threat made to the college or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Middle Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout as a result of the incident.
