Uvalde police, college district not cooperating with Texas probe of taking pictures: Sources

The Uvalde Police Department and the Uvalde Unbiased Faculty District police drive are now not cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Security's investigation into the bloodbath at Robb Elementary Faculty and the state's evaluation of the regulation enforcement response, a number of legislation enforcement sources inform ABC News.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Unbiased Faculty District didn't instantly respond to requests for remark from ABC Information.

In response to sources, the choice to stop cooperating occurred quickly after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a news conference Friday throughout which he said the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the wrong choice" and opposite to protocol.

Reached by ABC News, a spokesperson for the Texas Division of Public Safety stated, "The Uvalde Police Division and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators. The chief of the Uvalde CISD Police supplied an initial interview however has not responded to a request for a follow-up interview with the Texas Rangers that was made two days ago."

Last Tuesday's attack, one of many worst faculty shootings in U.S. historical past, left 19 kids and two adults dead.
