Man arrested in reference to “faculty shooter” signs present in 3 New Hampshire communities

BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after a number of indicators saying "school shooter" have been found in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Department of Security announced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple expenses. 

An elevated amount of law enforcement officials have been placed at faculties within the communities because of the indicators. Multiple schools initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly placed the signs across the communities, the Division of Security stated, but they determined there isn't any credible menace at the moment.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The security division released a photo of the plate however blurred a part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony charge of felony threatening and three misdemeanor fees together with false report back to regulation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged at this time.
