Days after a minimum of 19 elementary college students and two lecturers had been killed in a mass capturing at an elementary faculty in Uvalde, Texas, students at colleges around the country staged walkouts to protest gun violence.

In Michigan, college students at Oxford High School, the place a college taking pictures occurred in November, staged a walkout at 12 p.m. on Thursday. 4 students have been killed in the capturing.

"You see news day-after-day about youngsters getting shot and other people your age dying and it is just incredibly sad and unbelievable, particularly to see like children younger and youngsters my age," Janoff informed ABC News. "I cant imagine that being me; however it is possible as a result of it occurs so usually."

The 17 year-old says her school's administration was in help of the walkout and she hopes the over 200 planned demonstrations across the country ship a clear message that college students are a "united entrance."

A walkout may not essentially change laws, Janoff said, however these actions present "students are nonetheless united in this."

She mentioned that though most college students aren't sufficiently old to vote, they nonetheless want to see change and are prepared to take measures to have their voices heard in politics.
