Teen arrested after mom observed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Grey Information) - A number of agencies responded to a middle school in Texas Friday morning after a youngster’s mom noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock inform KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center College around 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teen by no means made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm together with several other companies in an attempt to find him.
The teen was discovered near the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old could be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no threat made to the college or anybody inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly positioned on lockout on account of the incident.
