Dave Chappelle attacked onstage at L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl

Comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked onstage Tuesday evening as he performed at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl enviornment, with videos from audience members' cellphones shortly flooding social media and exhibiting a man seem to run onto the stage and deal with the comic.

Chappelle, whose unapologetic humor has made him a lightning rod for criticism, appeared unscathed by the sudden interruption and later joked (Notice: Linked video contains harsh language together with profanity) with fellow comedian and actor Jamie Foxx onstage that he'd taken revenge on his attacker.

Videos posted to Twitter appeared to point out the person who charged Chappelle being detained outdoors the venue by police and then loaded into an ambulance with visible accidents.

Witnesses stated — and movies appeared to indicate — that the person was set upon by multiple folks onstage instantly after he attacked Chappelle.

Whereas the complete debacle was captured in multiple videos shot by members of the audience, mobile phone use was officially banned throughout the efficiency.  

The motivation for the initial attack remained unclear, and there was no instant response from the Los Angeles Police Division to CBS Information' request for details about the incident.
