A lady visiting Yellowstone Nationwide Park was gored by a bison and tossed into the air, park officers stated Tuesday.
The 25-year-old girl, who was visiting from Ohio, was not identified in a news release from the park.
The woman approached the feminine bison Monday morning after it came close to a boardwalk at Black Sand Basin, near Outdated Trustworthy geyser, the park mentioned.

An estimated 2,300 to 5,500 bison live on the park, and they have injured more individuals than any other animal, the park mentioned.
When the customer came within 10 feet of the animal, the bison impaled her and "tossed" her 10 toes in the air, the park mentioned.
The lady had puncture wounds and other injuries and was taken to a hospital in Idaho, the service stated. Her situation was unknown Tuesday.
Two other people had been additionally near the animal when it gored the woman, the park said. The release didn’t say if they had been injured.
The park warned people to remain 25 yards from bison, elk, bighorn sheep and moose and at the least 100 yards from bears and wolves.
CORRECTION (June 1, 2022, 12:07 p.m. ET) A previous model of this article misstated the severity of the woman’s injuries. She was gored by a bison and suffered puncture wounds. She was not killed.
