Weil der Erfolg einer Search Engine davon anhängig ist, essentielle Suchergebnisse zu den inszenierten Keywords anzuzeigen, vermochten unpassende Urteile dazu führen, dass sich die User nach anderweitigen Chancen für den Bereich Suche im Web umsehen. Die Rückmeldung der Search Engines lagerbestand in komplexeren Algorithmen für das Positionierung, die Punkte beinhalteten, die von Webmastern nicht oder nur kompliziert steuerbar waren.
